more from the shopping sherpa who gave previously gave us the zippered pouch and shopping tote fabric hacks.
but these ones, i really like the simplicity - a set of matching placemats and coasters from rationell drawer mats.
"i bought a roll of ikea rationell drawer mat a couple of years ago for $9.95 (much prefer the US price which is $3.99!), cut it into placemat sized pieces and rounded the corners by drawing (and then cutting) round a 5 cent piece. having done that i discovered there was enough mat down the side to make a set of matching coasters."

This is also a great idea for those who'd like to recycle the mats if they move to a different place with different sized cabinets/drawers!
I love this idea, but doesn't it have a tendency to roll up?
