i like bathroom makeovers and here is a fantastic one from philip, featuring the ikea kitchen countertop, pronomen.

"here are some pictures showing how a tired 70's bathroom went wow with help from ikea's pronomen countertops and the numerar edging. finish was behandla wood oil.

for slightly more than the price of a good sheet of plywood the pronomen is a wonderful product to base a design on. total investment with 2 countertops and the bath surround was 4 pieces, around $300.

the tub and bidet are from duravit while the sinks are kohler. and the faucets are american standard. tiles are "in-stock" lowes travertine."

You have probably already done your knobs. Target has great aluminum cylinders with little divits under scalloped, they are called whistle stop style. Would fit your look.

I never thought I could fall in love with a sink. Those are gorgeous!

I'm feeling the whole look except for the wallpaper. I dunno, I'm not a fan of green. But everything else is amazing. Love you included the pic of Jose, shout out for laborers!

The end product looks great!
Very creative use of materials.

I'm not a big fan of wallpaper but it really works in the small space. I'm not a designer by any means.

If you haven't already, seal the wood with a flat or satin water-based varnish. It will prevent the wood from absorbing water (from wet feet).

What's with that awful wallpaper though?

I am wondering..is it really necessary to address the fact that the gentleman, Jose, in the picture is a Salvadorian? I mean if he was black would you say, "The man in the picture is Jose, a black man?". Why I am not saying that this is racist or anything I just don't really see how it adds anything to the article?

Jose was mentioned because he was such an integral part of this project & many others at our home. He is an excellent craftsman and very proud to be from El Salvador, hence the reference to his country of birth.

I don't really get the wallpaper too (I think the old one looked much nicer) but apart from that the room is wonderful. Excellent work and craftsmanship.
