Well, its changed to a new form... I don't see how it isn't a hack.
On a side note, that color does not seem to be offered in the US. It that unit varnished a different color?
Looks great. Although...is the lower shelf sagging a little bit? It almost looks like the weight of the stereo is causing the shelf to bow.
Or maybe it's just the photo.

the upper shelf seems to low to the receiver unit....might not be well ventilated for the air vent holes on the top panel of the receiver.
Does anyone know where to get those metal "legs", or even what they would be called such that I can try and find someplace that sells those online?
Looks like the "legs" are 1/4" threaded rod you could find at Home Depot. You should find loads of info if you Google "diy flexy rack".
