a roskilde rug for the living room

karin stitched together 4 roskilde rugs (the link is to the large rug. used below are the small ones) to form one big carpet. lastly embellished with velvet ribbons.

Am I the only one who initally read the title of this post as "a roadkill rug..."?

can you wash the rug, or will the colour of the ribbons run into the rug?

Prue: I dont think I can wash it no. This rug is a temporary thing until I can afford a real one. So when something happens to it, so just use a sponge.
If you are interested in the idea, just buy a ribbon and try what happens with it when being soaked.

I did the same when I couldn't find a large rug to match the room I wanted it for...but I did find little ones. It worked out perfectly and I thanked God I had bought a heavy duty sewing machine.
