Add light to this watering can

Carlo gets arty with the Vallo watering can.

He says, "From the very first time we saw the Vallo watering can, we love its design. Too nice to be only a watering can! So here is our ValloLight Lamp!

We use the white Vallo ($1.99) and Ikea Parlor Glass Decoration (transparent ones, $1.99).

To achieve good results, it is very important to pay attention to the little things such as wire, switch and so on.

Please note that the Vallo is not heat resistant, so to avoid fire hazard, it is better to use cool light sources. The Ikea Parlor stones give a nice effect to the lamp and more importantly, increase the stability. Without them, the Vallolight is too light!"

Very fancy! I've been thinking of making some sort of lights myself, I really like how the switch fits right in.
Are those coloured lightbulbs you used?

Are the wires coming out of the spout just taped on the bottom? I would like to make this but without them. These lamps give off nice colours!

Wow! But not for if you have cats in the house, they'd have way too much fun with the cables coming out the spout...

Cool Idea...but, somewhat too hot.IKEA also sells really nice compact fluorescent bulbs which would make this lamp much safer. LED source would be best.

Thanks for the appreciation. The wires coming out of the spout (decorative only) are just taped on the bottom. To avoid heat I used some colored electronic lamps or a changing color LED lamp.

Play nice. Be appreciative of another's efforts. Don't say anything that you won't say in front of your mom or daughter.
