This is no wallflower
Chuck Herren goes for the floating desk. I really love stuff off the floor though there is a fear (an unfounded one though) that it may come crashing down in the dead of the night. Nonetheless, I am sure Chris did a great job securing his desk to the wall.
This is made from two Pronomen countertops measuring 49 5/8 x 25 5/8".

Space saving...good concept and idea.
I made a table that looks almost like that: http://www.flickr.com/photos/oipocorp/2910177185/sizes/l/in/set-72157615497379388/

Just checked at my store they have them in stock.
Plus does it matter?
The point is it a Very Cool Hack that I am sure could be done with something similar.
I need a handyman/person who can make these things for me. I know how many things are done I just don't have the strength in my arms anymore..
Any one in San Marcos Texas?
What a great idea!!
Work from home
What brackets/supports were used?
That's pretty cool! I am also curious to know how it was attached to the wall. Any insights on how it was done?
Just checked my site. 49 bucks for the same counter, exact dimensions, is 99$ dollars in Canada. nice hack, but too rich for my blood!

Play nice. Be appreciative of another's efforts. Don't say anything that you won't say in front of your mom or daughter.
